Froggy Bottoms December Dinner Specials Announced

Executive Chef Wes Fraser of Froggy Bottoms announces the December Dinner Specials:

Mozza-Lunas (Appetizer) $7.50

Delicious mozzarella cheese with a great Italian breading, all in a half moon shape.


Chicken Florentine $12.50

We take onions, spinach, tomatoes and, of course, grilled chicken, sautee it and toss it in white wine cream sauce. Served over pasta, this is a heavy dish to keep you warm this Winter.


Grilled Salmon $13.50

Alaskan salmon, grilled right here just for you. Served with mixed vegetables and your choice of potato


Beef Stroganoff $12.50

The perfect cold weather dish! Our own recipe makes this a fantastic treat to get over those winter blues. Chunks of beef and mushrooms in excellent gravy tossed with egg noodles with a dollop of sour cream to top it off.


Whiskey Steak $14.00

A “Ranch Cut” steak marinated in whiskey to give it a sweet flavor. Cooked to order just how you like it. Served with mixed vegetables and your choice of potato.


Mini Desserts $3 for 1/$8 for 3

These desserts are the perfect way to finish off your night. If you haven’t tried them before, here are your choices: Key Lime Pie, Peanut Butter crème pie, Cheese Cake, Carrot Lava Cake, and Double Fudge Lava Cake. Like what you see? Then here’s the scoop. You pick one for $3 or bring a couple friends and get any combo of 3 for $8!

Froggy Bottoms November Dinner Specials

Froggy Bottoms' Executive Chef Wes Fraser announces the following dinner specials for November:

Sweet & Spicy Wings (Appetizer) $8.50
Our wings doused in a special sauce made in house. The heat of buffalo sauce combined with the sweetness of honey, along with some extra spices, make these wings an unbeatable appetizer.

Chicken Penne Alfredo $12.00
Chicken tossed with broccoli and mushrooms poured over penne pasta. A great choice for any night of the week.

Shrimp Lo Mein $12.50
A plentiful helping of noodles with fried vegetables and shrimp. This one is filling, so it’s worth the money.

Pan-Fried Walleye $14.50
Always a Froggy Favorite. We are changing the breading this time around to give it a little more flavor and give you something more. Served with your choice of potato and our mixed vegetables.

New York Strip Steak $13.50
A great cut of meat at a good price. Just tell us how you want it and you’ll get just what you ask for. Served with your choice of potato and our mixed vegetable.

Costume contest winner was Lee Charlson of Buffalo, Minnesota, as "Chico." He was visiting relatives in Northfield and went home with a Guinness flag. A male version of Cyndi Lauper and a sexy police woman also won prizes.

Halloween Party at Froggy Bottoms Sat.

Froggy Bottoms River Pub announces a Halloween party Saturday, Oct. 31st. Costume contest, prizes, drink specials and DJ, with all the scary action starting at 9 p.m. Come, join the goblins and ghosts if you dare....Frog goblins are known to be the spookiest of all amphibian apparitions.

KSTP TV's afternoon show "Twin Cities Live" paid a visit to Northfield to preview "Defeat of Jesse James Days" and they stopped to refresh themselves at Froggy Bottoms, where co-owner Jake Hvistendahl talked about the pub.

Wes Fraser/Erik Loney Team Up at Froggy Bottoms











Froggy Bottoms Executive Chef and kitchen manager Wes Fraser (pictured left) will now be assisted by Sous Chef/assistant manager Erik Loney. Erik started cooking under the tutelage of Wes in November of 2008, aided also by Micah Humann, and Erik succeeded Micah this June. Erik is a Northfield native who will be 19 in July. His brother Shane Loney worked at Froggy Bottoms for two years. Erik says he loves working at Froggy Bottoms, with its nice and laid-back atmosphere. In fact, "Everyone is awesome!" His favorite dish to make? The quesadillas. Says Erik: "People love them. They are very popular and one order can easily serve two or more." Check out the complete menu at www.froggybottoms.com.
